Job description

Job Title: Community Associate

Under supervision with some latitude for independent action, the selected candidates will provide information to customers, conduct research, and perform clerical support.

Responsibilities:
  1. Answer a high volume of incoming calls.
  2. Receive complaints and create service requests as needed.
  3. Schedule and confirm appointments.
  4. Record and log appointments into the computer system.
  5. Respond to inquiries via telephone, mail, email, and in person; determine the required service.
  6. Utilize computer databases and information technology systems; research data needed to respond to inquiries.

Note: Selected candidates may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Note: Depending on experience, the selected candidate may be assigned to the Maintenance Call Center, Section 8/ATAD Call Center, or Quality Assurance Unit.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities related to the duties described above; or
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above.
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word, and Siebel.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze significant amounts of information and identify key issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully carry out multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
