This range is provided by NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$43,143.00/yr - $49,615.00/yr

Temporary positions with a duration of 12 Months

Responsibilities

The Community Associate for Lead Hazard Control Department will be assisting the team with administrative and clerical support needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide and improve community services by performing liaison functions, including improving communication between City agencies, community organizations, and the individuals they represent and serve.
  • Perform difficult and responsible clerical operations.
  • Perform daily data entry tasks in Maximo.
  • Prepare and maintain records, written reports, daily and monthly statistics.
  • Respond to vendors' questions, help with daily issues, and provide guidance on problems that might arise.
  • Provide administrative support to the unit as appropriate; coordinate meeting schedules and other related tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities related to the duties described above; or
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) and Maximo.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze significant amounts of information and identify key issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully carry out multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
