Job summary

CSD seeks a Customer Advisor Community Engagement Specialist to empower disabled California residents to access telecommunications programs. You will travel across the Central Coast, engage with community partners, educate customers about DDTP resources, and support enrollment and service delivery in Santa Barbara and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of customer service, community outreach, or related experience preferred.
• ASL knowledge is highly desirable.
• Spanish, Tagalog, Mandarin, or Cantonese language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, scheduling, enrollment support at community partner sites and events.
• Assist customers during mobile unit service days and large community events.
• Maintain accurate notes on customer interactions and program records.
• Travel to partner sites and events; maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
