Job summary

Guidehouse in Ventura, CA, is seeking a part-time Communications Operator to handle the main switchboard and support patient access.

You will respond to routine inquiries, update electronic medical records, coordinate codes, and assist with registrations, with shifts 2:00 PM–10:30 PM or 10:00 PM–6:30 AM on a rotating schedule.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 1 year in customer service or healthcare, and the ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, and/or healthcare.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound calls on the main switchboard.
• Answer basic questions about hours, directions, and contacts.

## Communications Operator, Part-Time, Second & Third ShiftApply: US - CA, Ventura: Part time: Posted Yesterday: 45062**Job Family:**Admitting Representative**Travel Required:**None**Clearance Required:**None**What You Will Do:**The Communications Operator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound calls received by the main switchboard/Private Branch Exchange.* Handles basic questions about the business, including hours of operation, directions, and contacts.* Coordinates emergency codes and disaster control procedures.* Monitors and updates patient status changes within electronic medical record.* Assists with the registrations of patients as needed.* Must be able to use overhead paging system to communicate information and locate hospital personnel.* Monitors the temperature, humidity, and pressure of various hospital equipment.* Serves as a mentor to new associates and assists in new employee orientation.* Critical thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.* Ability to function independently and manage own time and work tasks.* Team oriented, open-minded, flexible, and willing to learn.* Performs other duties as assigned.* Excellent communication and outstanding customer service and listening skills **\\*\\***This position will alternate shifts between **2:00 PM–10:30 PM** and/or **10:00 PM–6:30 AM**.
