Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to support a communications payload subsystem in an on-site role in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA. This position requires active Top Secret clearance and involves coordinating with suppliers and Program Management to deliver robust subsystem performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on SW development in Python/Java/C++/MATLAB, RF/network system integration, and collaboration within an IPT structure to meet program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience with SW development in Python/Java/C++/MATLAB is essential.
• Experience in communications and network system integration required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication subsystem requirements with supplier management.
• Manage suppliers and assess new technologies to meet program requirements.
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate benefits/detriments of hardware/software.
• Collaborate with program management to build schedules and assess risks.
• Address and correct subsystem performance issues using program tools.
• Identify opportunities for system improvement and work with engineering teams.
• Report subsystem status to leadership and identify risks to prevent delays.
• Provide engineering support and troubleshooting during test events.
