EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. is a hybrid, global communications partner supporting the Siemens Energy Real Estate team.

You will maintain the Real Estate intranet, manage email lists, draft Viva Engage posts, and coordinate day-to-day communications with the Communications Manager. We seek a candidate with 3–5 years in corporate communications, strong writing and editing skills, and hands-on SharePoint and Excel experience.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in corporate/internal communications or related function.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and message-development skills.
  • Hands-on SharePoint experience; able to update pages and manage content.
  • Strong Excel skills to build trackers, calendars, and reports.
  • Experience with Viva Engage, newsletters, emails, or intranet updates.
  • Basic graphic design skills using PowerPoint, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Job Summary

In this hybrid role you will support the Siemens Energy Real Estate department by helping the Communications Manager deliver clear, timely, and engaging communications to employees around the world. You will maintain the Real Estate intranet site, manage email distribution lists, develop Viva Engage posts, support content creation, complete research, and help coordinate day-to-day communications activities. You will work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure Real Estate communication materials are accurate, well organized, visually polished, and aligned with Siemens Energy standards. This role is ideal for someone who has worked on a communications team, enjoys both writing and coordination, and brings hands-on experience with SharePoint, Excel, basic graphic design, and digital communication channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the Communications Manager in executing Real Estate communications plans, campaigns, and department-wide messaging.
  • Maintain and update the Real Estate intranet site in SharePoint, ensuring content is accurate, current, easy to navigate, and aligned with branding standards.
  • Manage Real Estate email distribution lists, including regular updates, quality checks, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure the right audiences receive the right information.
  • Draft and publish Viva Engage posts and other short-form communications that increase awareness, engagement, and visibility of Real Estate activities.
  • Support development of communication materials, including email drafts, intranet articles, presentation slides, simple graphics, and meeting materials.
  • Analyze data and use results to support storytelling.
  • Track communications results and deliver reports using Excel and other Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Build and maintain a digital assets library to organize department photos and videos.
  • Complete research, benchmarking, fact-checking, and background gathering to support communications planning, content development, and leadership requests.
  • Maintain communications calendars and content inventories.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI and other technology to streamline processes and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate approvals, collect input from stakeholders, and help ensure communications are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Apply strong attention to detail to proofread content, check formatting, confirm links and distribution lists, and maintain consistency across communication materials.
Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a corporate setting working on a communications team or supporting internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or a related function.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and message-development skills, with the ability to create clear and accurate content for internal audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint, including updating pages, organizing content, managing links and access, troubleshooting issues and supporting intranet maintenance.
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to build and maintain trackers, lists, calendars, reports, and distribution list files with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage databases, analyze data, and find the story in the numbers.
  • Experience developing or supporting Viva Engage posts, newsletters, emails, intranet updates, presentations, or other digital communications.
  • Basic graphic design skills and the ability to create simple, polished visual materials using PowerPoint, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using AI and digital tools, including Copilot and ChatGPT, in day-to-day work to support communication efforts. Interest in exploring new ways to use AI and automation to streamline work.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, updates, and stakeholder requests at the same time.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable asking questions, following direction, solving problems, and supporting a small communications team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Flexibility to accommodate occasional early meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience interacting with colleagues in locations around the world in different time zones.
