What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Develop and implement cohesive communications and outreach strategies aligned with agency goals and priorities
2. Create outreach materials, press releases, newsletters, and social media content tailored to target audiences
3. Support crisis communication efforts by drafting timely responses to media inquiries
4. Assist in planning and coordinating events, including logistics, agenda development, and promotional materials
5. Conduct post-event evaluations to identify challenges and successes for future improvements

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, communications, public relations, or related field; 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
2. Minimum 1 year of experience developing communication packages, strategies, or plans
3. At least 1 year of experience supporting an Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) and/or Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) program
4. Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
5. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Knowledge of 508 compliance
2. Experience in applying race equity, diversity, and social justice strategies in human services
3. Familiarity with the challenges faced by refugees, immigrants, and asylees
