Primary Purpose of Position

The Admissions Communication & Project Coordinator supports East Carolina University’s enrollment goals by managing communication projects, coordinating message flow across platforms, and ensuring consistency and accuracy of messaging throughout the recruitment and admissions cycle. Reporting to the Associate Director for Campus Experiences, the Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Undergraduate Admissions, University Marketing and Communications, and Information Technology to support communication strategy, content review and project execution. This position oversees communication planning, reviews admissions letters and recruitment materials, coordinates texting campaigns, monitors updates to digital resources, supports communication-related reporting, and ensures that information provided to prospective students remains accurate and timely. The Coordinator provides guidance to admissions staff on appropriate communication practices, tone, and standards and serves as a subject matter resource for communication-related initiatives.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
  • Valid Driver’s License or obtained with 30 days of the date of hire. Must be maintained as a condition of employment
