Job summary

STO Building Group seeks a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring work meets plans and specifications. You will support bidding, scheduling, shop drawings, and cross-discipline coordination for complex facilities.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, reviewing plans, and coordinating testing and inspections, while upholding safety and quality standards across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Reading and understanding blueprints.
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety requirements.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new information.

Responsibilities

• Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
• Assists in bidding and in developing scope of work for trade contractors.
• Coordinates project schedules, shop drawings, and milestones to complete projects on time.
• Attends meetings and distributes minutes; publishes weekly progress reports.
