Job summary

Structure Tone International is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead quality control and commissioning for MEP/FA/FP systems on STO Building Group projects and others. The role covers scope development, drawing reviews, on-site supervision, and coordinating with third-party Cx vendors when applicable.

The candidate will observe field work, ensure installation per drawings, develop commissioning plans, conduct functional testing, and document results. Travel will be required nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in construction or commissioning experience.
• Experience with MEP/FA/FP system design, installation and commissioning.
• Proficient reading and interpreting MEP drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with project teams and subcontractors.
• Willingness to travel up to two or three nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for MEP/FA/FP systems, including tests.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts.
• Review design documents for compliance and correctness.
• Inspect field installations and verify conformance to drawings.
• Coordinate with project teams to address deficiencies and retest.
• Prepare turnover documentation and as-built records.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support project teams.
