Job summary

Blattner is seeking a commissioning professional to review design documents, assist with site LOTO procedures, and coordinate resource planning for HV/MV projects. You will prepare daily/weekly test plans and oversee testing to ensure safety and compliance with site risk assessments.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of commissioning or 4-6 years in construction supervision, with willingness to travel 100% and pass required checks. Company benefits include per diem, insurance, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years commissioning experience or 4-6 years of construction supervision experience.
  • Ability to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate to the jobsite (100% travel with rotations).

Responsibilities

  • Review design documents, contract specs, and utility requirements for project readiness.
  • Assist with writing site-specific LOTO procedures and communicate plan to field personnel.
  • Coordinate with Commissioning Principal to plan resources and equipment allocations.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and daily commissioning work plans identifying devices and systems to test.
  • Supervise testing activities ensuring adherence to Site Risk Assessments and Daily Work Plans.

Performs a detailed review of the design documents, contract specifications, and utility requirements to familiarize with the project requirements

Assists with writing site specific Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, communicating this plan to all necessary field personnel and ensure that LOTO is followed

Coordinates with the Commissioning Principal to plan resources and equipment allocations

Prepares a detailed Weekly and Daily Commissioning work plan that identifies each device and system to be tested as well as overall progress of the commissioning activities

Supervise and ensure all testing activities adhere to the Site Risk Assessment and Daily Work Plans

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

2-3 years commissioning experience or 4-6 years of construction supervision experience

Able to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test

Willingness to travel and relocate to the jobsite (100% travel with rotations)

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

Ability to read wiring diagrams, points list, single line, three-line, layout, plan, profile, grading, foundations, steel, specifications as required to construct, test, and commission the HV/MV project

Background in all electrical trades we currently perform (Collection, Substation, and Solar) and is interchangeable in all segments

$41.29 - $58.32 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
