Job summary

Blattner is seeking a Substation Construction Supervisor to lead field teams, manage costs and schedules, and ensure top safety standards on site. The role involves coordinating self-perform crews and subcontractors across substations, with travel required to job sites.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in substation construction, safety program implementation, and the ability to review bid packages for accuracy, with willingness to relocate as needed.

Job description

  • Providing regular coaching and feedback to Assistant Superintendents and Forepersons

What You’ll Need
  • Must be a current Michigan resident and possess a Michigan Master Electrician License
  • Self-perform Substation construction experience up to 345kV
  • 5 years’ experience supervising self-perform construction crews
  • Progressive view on both safety practices and program implementation
  • Ability to review the bid package for accuracy, completion, and electrical scope
  • Able to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test
  • Willingness to Travel and relocate to the jobsite (100% travel with rotations)
What Will Set You Apart
  • Management overseeing substation subcontractors
  • Experience coordinating with transmission operators and grid ISO’s
  • Proficiency in areas such as T-Line, inter-connect systems, switchgear installations, and HV collection/distribution systems
  • Electrical Licenses (Journeyman, Master, etc.)
  • Four-year degree in a construction or engineering related field
