Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Commissioning Engineer I to support energy-efficient building solutions and ensure project success.

You will develop test procedures, organize trainings, conduct field observations, and contribute to document control. The role requires a BS in engineering, knowledge of building systems, familiarity with codes and CAD/BIM tools, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of building systems across disciplines and at least one discipline (HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, lighting, instrumentation and controls, or building envelope).
• Knowledge of codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
• Experience with engineering calculation programs and CAD/BIM software to access and interpret design requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate system test procedures.
• Organize user training sessions.
• Administer functional performance tests.
