Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Chapel Hill is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to deliver energy-efficient building solutions and greener outcomes for clients.

You will develop testing procedures, perform field observations, and support document control to ensure successful commissioning. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in engineering, understand building systems across disciplines, and possess fundamental commissioning knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering from an accredited program.
• General understanding of building systems across disciplines and knowledge in at least one area (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, instrumentation and controls, or building envelope).
• Understanding of applicable design codes and ability to interpret them.
• Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and delivery.
• Proficient in engineering calculation software and ability to learn CAD/BIM software.
• Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
• Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.
