Job summary

City of Denton is seeking a Commercial Waste & Recycling Coordinator to assist commercial account customers with establishing adequate waste and recycling service levels. You will educate customers, prepare reports, and collaborate across departments to meet diversion goals.

The role requires strong communication skills, experience in waste/recycling or related fields, and the ability to manage bids and customer inquiries. Some evenings or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years in solid waste/recycling or related field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• Experience with data reports and client-facing duties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist commercial account customers with waste and recycling service levels.
• Educate customers on recycling programs to reduce contamination.
• Prepare reports including data, illustrations, and success stories.
• Respond to inquiries and submit bids for large commercial accounts.
• Collaborate with departments to design optimal waste collection services.
