Job summary

City of Denton is seeking a customer-focused representative to assist residents by phone, electronically, and in person with payments, inquiries, and service requests in a friendly and professional manner.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of customer service experience, and six months of cash handling experience, with opportunities to support Solid Waste and other departments while ensuring compliance with cash handling policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year customer service experience.
• 6 months cash handling experience.
• Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Handle heavy phone traffic for departments Citywide.
• Provide phone, electronic and face-to-face support to customers and appropriately direct internal and external customers.
• Process drop box payments, posting payments, and handling mail.
