Job summary

Recology is seeking a Waste Diversion Program Manager to design, coordinate, implement, and administer diversion programs for commercial and residential customers and local jurisdictions. You will educate communities, conduct waste audits, and support contract management to improve diversion rates while ensuring compliance with city and state laws.

Role requires collaboration with local government, attendance at community organizations, and frequent travel for offsite meetings to promote

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in resource recovery (e.g., waste disposal, recycling).
• Technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications and programs in position related area.
• Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes waste and diversion assessments for customers and outlines opportunities.
• Manages contracts from key commercial recycling customers in various markets.
• Analyzes audit reports on contamination and diversion, recommending improvements.
• Develops concepts, timelines, goals and objectives for projects.
• Represents the company with city staff and elected officials.
