Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with our commercial customers, installing and programming Integrated Security fire and security systems. The role involves dismantling and reconstructing equipment when necessary and coordinating with police/fire departments on larger projects.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of electrical/electronic experience, can read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and communicate professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 4+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required.
• Work safely and clean up installation debris.
• Contact customers prior to installation to verify schedule.
• Prepare estimates per supervisor instructions.
• Follow wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Test system operation and communicate with the signal-receiving center.
