Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with commercial clients, installing and programming Integrated Security fire and security systems. The role involves reading schematics, wiring, testing, and coordinating with emergency services as needed.

You will dismantle and reconstruct equipment, follow safety protocols, and mentor junior installers on larger projects. A high school diploma or GED and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 5+ years electrical/electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle safely at all times.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems onsite for commercial customers.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed.
• Follow drawings and wiring diagrams; test system operation and establish service with the center.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and manage records for notifications.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers on larger projects.
