Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Commercial Installer to set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems on-site for commercial customers. The role involves dismantling and reconstructing equipment as necessary and ensuring safe, efficient installations.

You will read schematics, follow wiring diagrams, and coordinate with authorities on larger projects. A high school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience are expected, with strong customer service skills and safe driving.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years electrical/electronic equipment experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Valid fleet vehicle operation and safe driving.

Responsibilities

• Install devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required by customers.
• Work safely to avoid injuries and clean installation debris.
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and notify emergency services as needed.
• Read and follow wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Test system operation and verify service with the monitoring center.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
