Job summary

Alta Fiber in Cincinnati is seeking a results-driven Commercial Sales Representative to expand our business sales channel and bring next-gen fiber solutions to Dayton-area businesses. You will generate leads, close deals, upsell services, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of B2B sales experience, a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), and strong consultative selling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 1–3 years of sales experience in a competitive B2B environment.
• Knowledge of telecom services (data/voice/video) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and close sales through outbound calls, meetings, and door-to-door prospecting.
• Build and execute strategic sales plans to grow our fiber footprint and increase customer spend.
• Partner with Solutions Engineers to design the best technical solutions for each customer.
• Maintain an active sales funnel and report on pipeline progress to the Sales Manager.
• Communicate value propositions clearly and consultatively to business decision-makers.
• Be part of a positive, high-performing team that supports and motivates each other.

In this role, you'll actively engage with new and existing customers to drive fiber adoption, increase revenue through upselling, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Essential Functions:

• Generate leads and close sales through outbound calls, face-to-face meetings, and door-to-door prospecting
• Build and execute strategic sales plans to grow our fiber footprint and increase customer spend
• Partner with Solutions Engineers to design the best technical solutions for each customer
• Maintain an active sales funnel and report on pipeline progress to the Sales Manager
• Communicate value propositions clearly and consultatively to business decision-makers
• Be part of a positive, high-performing team that supports and motivates each other
• Stay on top of market trends and altafiber's evolving suite of services

Education:

• Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Preferred MBA

Relevant Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in a competitive B2B environment
• Knowledge of telecom services (data, voice, video, networking) preferred
