Job summary

The Scalo Companies in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Project Coordinator to manage logistics, communication, and site-condition reporting for assigned projects, leading pre-construction site walks and coordinating with the Field Supervisor and Project Manager.

You will plan weekly work, monitor materials, and assist with change orders and budgeting while ensuring safety and policy compliance on multi-site roofing and sheet metal projects.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication across diverse teams.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specs.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction software tools.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-construction and kickoff meetings to learn project scope.
• Coordinate communication between trades on site.
• Confirm materials are secured and protected at day end.
• Submit next-day warehouse and equipment requests.
• Promote safety and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Track weather days and ensure daily housekeeping.
• Monitor inventory and report discrepancies promptly.
• Walk sites with Field Supervisors; document conditions.
• Lead pre-construction walks and produce reports.
• Communicate timeline changes to Field Supervisors and PMs.
• Attend GC meetings; ensure specs and shop drawings are followed.
• Close out jobs per policy and mentor junior staff.
• Assist with change orders and job-cost tracking.
• Maintain material inventories to reduce trips to the warehouse.
