Job summary

Hummel Group seeks a Business Risk Advisor in Newark, OH to grow a client book by developing new relationships and maintaining existing partnerships. You will review exposures, analyze needs, and develop tailored insurance strategies with the sales team.

Responsibilities include proposal preparation, presenting to clients, and guiding Account Executives on escalated service matters, with a focus on achieving annual new business goals.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of commercial products, markets, and the marketing process.
• Excellent negotiating, decision‑making, and sales skills.
• Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Property and Casualty license required; ongoing education expected.
• Willing to travel offsite as needed.
• College degree preferred; a professional designation may substitute.
• Must maintain licensure and ongoing education.
• Prior sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow a book of business by developing new relationships and maintaining clients.
• Meet with clients to review exposures, analyze needs and develop strategy.
• Oversee proposal preparation and present to prospective clients.
• Coordinate with Account Executives and Account Managers on service issues.
• Explain programs and risk solutions to clients and prospects.
• Support annual new business goals and renewal strategies.
• Document meetings and follow up with the operations team.
• Contribute to agency goals and minimize E&O exposure.
• Develop client rapport and participate in community activities.
• Attend training, sales meetings and related groups.
