Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial development of strategic opportunities in the Industrial Power Generation sector. You will own end-to-end proposal strategy for complex, high-value projects across Sales, Engineering, and Finance to maximize win rates and profitability.

The role focuses on deal leadership rather than direct account ownership, requiring strong senior stakeholder influence, risk management, and robust pricing governance while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related disciplines from an accredited college or university.
• 7-8 years of experience in a project-oriented organization.
• Solid technical and commercial background in the Industrial Energy industry in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to communicate and influence at senior leadership level.
• Experience with complex, multidisciplinary projects and EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of commercial proposals for large and complex Power Systems opportunities coordinating multidisciplinary proposal teams.
• Define bid strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, product management, supply chain, and service teams.
• Ensure proposals are complete, compliant, competitive, and submitted on time.
• Support strategic pursuits from early engagement through contract award.
• Establish compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and governance processes.
• Drive proposal reviews, approvals, and executive presentations.
• Develop pricing strategies balancing competitiveness and profitability.
• Lead commercial risk analysis and mitigation per governance processes.
• Assess contractual terms and negotiate commercial conditions.
• Ensure margins, assumptions, and position consistency.
