Tiello is seeking a Laborer for a Commercial Masonry Construction project in the Birmingham or Huntsville, AL area. The role supports masons and field crews by preparing materials, maintaining clean and safe job sites, and ensuring crews have necessary resources to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications include prior construction or masonry experience, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn the masonry trade.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist masons with material handling, staging, and job site preparation.
• Load, unload, and transport brick, block, mortar, scaffolding, and other construction materials.
• Mix mortar and grout as directed by the masonry crew.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment throughout the day.
• Build, move, and dismantle scaffolding and other temporary structures as needed.
• Operate hand tools and basic construction equipment safely.
• Remove debris and keep the job site organized and free of hazards.
• Support the masonry crew in meeting daily production goals and project schedules.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.
