Job summary

Total Talent Solutions is hiring a Commercial Maintenance Technician in Arlington, TX to support facilities across client sites. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, with occasional field travel between locations.

Pay ranges from $26 to $30 per hour, with Monday–Friday 8 AM–4 PM, and weekend availability required. Applicants should have 2–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues.
• Complete work orders, inspections, service reports, and quality documentation using mobile technology.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and provide exceptional service.
• Coordinate materials and supplies needed for assigned tasks.
• Follow OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and company compliance standards.
• Assist with project estimates and recommend facility improvement solutions.
• Support emergency repairs and ongoing property maintenance needs across multiple customer sites.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements

• 2-5 years of commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or skilled trades experience
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and building maintenance best practices
• Ability to use work order management systems, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with plumbing and sewer line cleanout preferred
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel locally between customer locations daily

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders regularly
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and elevated work areas
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle and maintenance equipment
