Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Commercial Maintenance Technician in Edmond, OK. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, to keep facilities operating safely and efficiently.

Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional nights or weekends. Local travel required; MS Office and work-order tools experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade certification preferred.
• 2-5 years in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures, manuals, and work orders.
• Ability to operate mobile devices and basic computer software (Office, databases).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple building systems.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Daily local travel required.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs per work orders.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks (unclog drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures).
• Complete routine carpentry and painting tasks (patch drywall, match paint).
• Conduct minor electrical repairs allowed by state law (replace outlets, lighting).
• Perform HVAC and building system checks as needed.
• Conduct site and asset inspections and document findings.
• Use tablet/smartphone to log notes, upload photos, submit reports.
• Maintain tools, obtain materials, and track expenses.
• Communicate professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Attend required safety training and follow OSHA standards.
• Provide estimates for larger repairs or projects.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades
• Prior experience in facility maintenance, construction, landscaping, or janitorial services is highly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures, manuals, and work orders
• Ability to operate mobile devices, work order systems, and basic computer software (Microsoft Office, database tools)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple building systems
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and crawling
• Daily local travel required
