Aerotek in Richmond, VA seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install, update, and service low voltage systems in commercial and retail environments. You will run and terminate cabling, support security, AV, access control, and telecom installations, and work hands-on in active businesses with a flexible schedule.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience with low voltage systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while following detailed installation manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience with low voltage electrical systems in commercial or retail settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on site.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Willing to travel as required and adapt to rotating day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, terminate, and troubleshoot CAT5/CAT6, coax, and other cables.
• Update existing systems and run new wiring in 50V range.
• Monitor contractors and manage materials on site.
• Perform security, audio, video, access control, and telecom installations.
• Identify network hardware like routers, switches, demarcation points.
• Load and configure equipment like cash registers and computers.
• Maintain accurate documentation for installations and service calls.
