Job summary

Havel is seeking a Low Voltage/Data Technician to install and service Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, and CCTV systems. You will install and terminate network cabling and fiber, configure IP devices, and train owner/operators on total system operation.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in low voltage, hands-on installation and commissioning experience, strong MS Office skills, and reliable attendance, with flexibility for extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of field experience in a low voltage industry.
• Hands-on system installation and commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office products is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Installation and Service of Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, and CCTV/IP camera systems
• Install, terminate and/or repair network data cabling and fiber optic lines
• Configure IP devices for device functionality
• Maintain and adhere to the highest safe workplace standards
• Manage account relationships with existing customers to develop and maintain their integrated building systems
• Organize and manage time effectively to prioritize workload
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, software, systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals
• Perform site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total system
• Be able to stoop, kneel, and climb ladders when needed
• Other duties as assigned related to a technician position
