Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. seeks a capable Low Voltage Technician to install, terminate, test, and maintain low-voltage cabling and systems in commercial facilities. You will work with structured cabling, BAS, access control, security, and communications infrastructure, aligning with project specs and safety standards.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring quality and timely completions, with occasional night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of combined experience in commercial low-voltage installation.
• Experience with structured cabling, BAS, access control, CCTV, and related technologies.
• Ability to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and systems in commercial buildings.
• Install and support structured cabling infrastructure (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, fiber, patch panels, racks, cable trays).
• Install, configure, and support BAS, access control, security, surveillance, intercom, and communications systems.
• Assist with HVAC control wiring, sensors, actuators, controllers, thermostats, and other low-voltage devices.
• Read blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, and shop drawings.
• Route, pull, and secure cabling through ceilings, walls, and trays.
• Perform cable testing, continuity testing, and quality inspections.
• Report issues and coordinate with project managers and trades.
