• Hands-on experience with walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in coolers/freezers, and commercial ice machines.
• Restaurant or food-service refrigeration experience strongly preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment in the field.

Commercial Low Temp Refrigeration Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $35-$45+ per hour DOE
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Low Temp Refrigeration Technician to join our team in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of commercial refrigeration/HVAC service experience, with a strong background servicing equipment in restaurants, food service, grocery, or similar commercial environments.

Experience with walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, and other low-temp refrigeration equipment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems
• Service and repair walk-in coolers and freezers
• Troubleshoot and repair reach-in refrigerators and freezers
• Service and maintain commercial ice machines
• Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service
• Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, TXVs, controls, and related components
• Respond to service calls and accurately diagnose equipment issues
• Complete service documentation and communicate repairs with customers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial refrigeration/HVAC service experience
• Strong low-temp refrigeration experience
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Walk-in coolers
  • Walk-in freezers
  • Reach-in coolers/freezers
  • Commercial ice machines
  • Restaurant refrigeration equipment
• Restaurant or food-service refrigeration experience strongly preferred
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
• EPA certification required/preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment in the field

Compensation

$35-$45+ per hour DOE

Pay will be based on experience, technical knowledge, certifications, and overall skill level.
