Job summary

Morton Community Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to support loan officers with a wide range of administrative tasks and customer interactions in a fast-paced banking environment.

The role involves handling loan documentation, coordinating closings, and assisting with loan reviews and maintenance while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements. Prior lending exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attend loan review course.
• BSA and other Bank related training through BAI is required annually.
• Understanding of UCCs, Deeds of Trust, Letters of Credit, and Sweep Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial lender portfolios by answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and responding to other inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Assist lenders with the evaluation of loan requests by ordering credit reports and gathering financial information; maintaining current imaged files.
• Coordinate the preparation of loan documentation for new loans, renewals, extensions, modifications, and letters of credit; obtain titles and payoffs; ensure compliance with loan terms.
• Assist with loan administration issues including working with the loan servicing team on customer and loan maintenance issues; ensure successful documentation and closings.
