Job summary

Morton Community Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to support commercial loan officers and act as a primary contact for commercial customers when lenders are unavailable. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, processing loan payments, and assisting with loan documentation and closings.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, banking training, and familiarity with loan documents such as UCCs and deeds of trust.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attend loan review course.
• BA and other Bank related training through BAI is required annually.
• Understanding of UCCs, Deeds of Trust, Letters of Credit, and Sweep Accounts.
• 2-3+ years of banking experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support commercial loan officers with administrative functions and provide high level customer support.
• Coordinate loan documentation for new loans, renewals, extensions, modifications, and letters of credit.
• Assist in evaluating loan requests by ordering credit reports and gathering financial information.
• Disburse loan proceeds and assist with loan closings as requested by lenders.
• Work with title companies and lenders to close real estate loans and ensure compliance with bank policies.
