Job summary

Mid Penn Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ seeks a Commercial Loan Settlement Officer to support commercial lending by preparing and reviewing loan documentation, coordinating closings, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work with lenders, attorneys, and title companies to ensure accurate and timely closings.

The role requires knowledge of commercial loan structures, a four-year related experience, and proficiency with loan documentation software; a formal education in finance or paralegal

Qualifications

• A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field preferred; paralegal certification or similar training is highly preferred.
• A minimum of four (4) years’ related experience and understanding of commercial loan products and collateral.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting attorney-prepared legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates end-to-end loan closing and settlement for commercial loans and related facilities.
• Reviews loan packages to ensure terms are satisfied prior to closing.
• Verifies documentation such as insurance, title, and collateral records for accuracy.
• Prepares loan closing documents in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Resolves discrepancies prior to funding and communicates with attorneys and title companies.
• Maintains accurate loan files and supports audits and regulatory examinations.
• Monitors pipeline to ensure timely closings and deadlines are met.
