Job summary

Freedom Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lending Support professional in Springfield, MA to assist with processing, closing, and post-closing activities for commercial loans. You will prepare commitment letters, coordinate closings with lenders and attorneys, and maintain loan files in the core system.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent with experience in commercial lending, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college and/or two years related commercial lending experience.
• Strong written, oral communication/interpersonal and organizational skills/ability to prioritize and handle a multitude of responsibilities, meet deadlines.
• Must be able to use various office equipment including PCs with Microsoft Office programs, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Legal documentation as related to commercial loan closings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review commercial loan commitment letters and closing documents.
• Coordinate closings with lenders and closing attorneys.
• Monitor receipt of closing documents and missing items after closings.
• Create new credit files or modify existing files for loan documents and archives.
• Enter required loan information into loan/core systems for servicing.
• Process loan payments, line of credit transfers, payoffs, and related transactions.
• Respond to commercial loan inquiries, billing inquiries, LOC advances, payoffs, and releases.
• Monitor UCC filings for commercial loans and ensure filings are updated after closings.
• Assist in tracking financial statements and prepare financial statement letters.
• Prepare month-end reports including Colson SBA report and other required reports.
