Job summary

Southwest Bank is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist to support the Commercial Loan officer by assembling a fully documented loan file for funding. You will coordinate consumer, commercial, and CRE documents to meet closing timelines and review third-party reports for accuracy.

Responsibilities include obtaining origination information, preparing loan packages for various loan types, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and bank policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as the situation dictates.
• Knowledge of LaserPro or equivalent loan documentation system.
• Knowledge of banking industry including loan accounting.
• Understanding of commercial and consumer loan documents.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and coordinate a fully documented loan file for submission and funding.
• Coordinate consumer, commercial and commercial real estate loan documents to meet closing timelines.
• Review third party documents such as title and appraisals for accuracy.
• Obtain information related to the loan origination process (credit reports, appraisals, title reports, UCC searches, environmental reports, etc.).
• Prepare and reconcile origination documents for various loan types.
• Review outside counsel documentation prior to closing and conduct pre-closing reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Federal regulations and Credit Policy Guidelines; verify all required documents are on file.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage multiple projects with accuracy and minimal supervision.
