Job summary

United Community in Florida is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to support Commercial Relationship Managers and Closers throughout the lending process. You will help collect documents, coordinate underwriting information, and prepare communications such as commitment letters and term sheets.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and MS Office proficiency. Travel up to 10% and flexibility for occasional after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of credit or customer service experience in the financial services industry.
• Commercial loan experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.
• Attention to detail and strong organization/time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales and administrative assistance to Commercial Relationship Managers (CRM) and other partners.
• Support new and renewed loan production by collecting, ordering, and tracking information required for accurate risk assessment and underwriting.
• Assist with preparation of written communication on behalf of the CRM to include commitment letters, term sheets, etc.
• Collaborate with CRM, Commercial Loan Closer, Underwriter, Doc Prep and outside counsel on loan closings; collect executed documents.
• Submit customer maintenance requests to Loan Operations for completion.
• Transfer and assign notes; facilitate ongoing disbursement requests including coordination with Construction Administration.
