Job summary

United Community is seeking a Loan Operations Commercial Loan Closer (CLC) to support closing for C&I and CRE loans. You’ll work with CRM, LOA, and attorneys to ensure timely closings, prepare documents, review due diligence, and verify conditions for final approval.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and customer service, with non-remote, full-time work and a salary range reflecting commercial lending experience in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services, with commercial loan experience.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of federal/state banking regulations.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Commitment to compliance training and continuous learning.
• Preferred: college degree in business or paralegal certification.

Responsibilities

• Review and identify: Analyze approved credit requests to pinpoint pre-close conditions and due diligence needs.
• Due Diligence: Order and review Title Commitments, UCC searches, flood determinations, insurance proofs, surveys, entity docs, appraisals, environmental assessments, good standing certificates, and beneficial ownership.
• Monitor and confirm: Ensure due diligence items are received and reviewed for accurate loan documents and lien perfection.
• Document preparation: Submit loan details to Doc Prep for closing documentation.
• Legal coordination: Engage with attorneys to prepare and/or close loan documents.
• Scheduling: Coordinate closing dates with attorneys, title companies, customers, CRM, LOA.
• Accuracy check: Review draft closing documents and settlement statements for accuracy.
• Clear to close: Provide final approval once all conditions are satisfied.
• Document review: Verify signatures and forward to Loan Servicing.
• Documentation management: Load documents to CreditLens or imaging systems.
• Initial disbursement: Assist with initial disbursement as second signature.
• Customer service: Deliver exceptional service to internal/external clients with urgency.
