Confidential Employer, a New York law firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to lead commercial and business litigation matters in a hybrid Buffalo office. You will manage complex disputes, develop strategies, and mentor junior attorneys while expanding client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial and business litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution or trial.
• Handle contract disputes, business torts, shareholder/partnership disputes, and other commercial claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, conduct depositions, oversee discovery, and manage motion practice.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while expanding your own practice.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff on complex matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to growth of the commercial litigation practice.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

• 5+ years of commercial litigation, business litigation, or closely related experience.
• Established client relationships with a transferable book of business.
• Experience independently managing complex litigation matters.
• Strong background in depositions, motion practice, case strategy, and client representation.
• First-chair litigation experience and an established book of $250K+ are highly desirable.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and communication skills.
