Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced commercial litigation attorney to lead complex matters from start to finish. You will handle contracts, business disputes, and shareholder matters while cultivating client relationships and building your practice in a supported, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have a strong NY Bar record, 5+ years in commercial litigation, and an established book of business. This hybrid Buffalo-based role offers autonomy, growth, and performance incentives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial and business litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution or trial.
• Handle contract disputes, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, and other commercial claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, conduct depositions, oversee discovery, and manage motion practice.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with existing clients while expanding your own practice.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys and support staff on complex matters.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the growth of the commercial litigation practice.

• First-chair litigation experience and an established book of $250K+ are highly desirable.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and communication skills.
