Position Title: Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant
Salary Range: $65,000–$100,000 / Year, DOE

This Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant will support 3–4 attorneys across complex business disputes, managing state and federal filings, discovery, pleadings, trial preparation, exhibits and the detailed case organization that keeps high-stakes matters moving forward.
The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial litigation professional who takes initiative, anticipates attorney needs, and can confidently manage a busy desk without constant oversight.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support to 3–4 attorneys handling sophisticated commercial disputes
- Prepare, draft, proofread, and organize pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, and correspondence
- Manage state and federal court filings, including e-filing through TexFile/eFileTexas and PACER/CM-ECF
- Coordinate trial preparation including trial notebooks, exhibits, tables of contents, appendices and complex supporting documentation
- Organize large-scale pleadings and case materials involving extensive exhibits while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and attorneys while proactively tracking deadlines and anticipating upcoming case needs
- Support matters involving breach of contract, business torts, commercial fraud, trade secrets, corporate governance, construction and commercial employment disputes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of litigation legal assistant or paralegal experience, including at least 3 years specifically within commercial litigation
- Meaningful Texas litigation experience with strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Proven experience with Texas state and federal e-filing, including TexFile/eFileTexas and PACER/CM-ECF
- Ability to independently draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions and correspondence in a sophisticated litigation environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with the technical aptitude to quickly learn and navigate legal technology, including Clio
- Trial preparation experience with trial notebooks, exhibit organization, and complex litigation documents
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive communication style with the ability to support multiple attorneys and adapt to different working styles
