Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a boutique commercial litigation law firm in their search for a highly skilled freelance attorney to serve as a Senior Litigation Associate (6–8 Years) on a part-time, project-based basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned commercial litigator to work closely with high-level executives and respected trial attorneys on high-stakes, fast-moving matters. The role is open to candidates licensed in any U.S. jurisdiction and can be performed remotely.

About the Role:

Our client, a litigation boutique with a deep bench of experienced trial attorneys, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate (6–8 Years) to provide sophisticated legal support on expedited commercial matters. Ideal for a freelance litigator or solo practitioner, this role requires poise, confidence, and the ability to work directly with corporate executives and firm partners on complex litigation tasks.

This is not a junior-level role. The attorney will be relied upon as a true right hand to the lead partner and must be able to manage depositions, draft persuasive motions and briefs, and support fast-paced discovery and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze complex documents and case materials
• Manage and support discovery efforts, including strategy and oversight of document production
• Conduct and defend depositions, including those involving C-suite executives
• Draft high-level pleadings, motions, and briefs (motions to dismiss, summary judgment, etc.)
• Collaborate on trial preparation and strategy alongside firm partners
• Provide actionable legal counsel that aligns with business and litigation goals

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction
• 6–8 years of commercial litigation experience, ideally from an Am Law 100 or similar firm
• Proven ability to lead depositions and draft substantive motions independently
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Comfortable working directly with sophisticated clients and executives
• Excellent judgment, adaptability, and organizational skills
• Freelance availability with flexibility to take on intensive matters as needed

Preferred:

• Experience with high-stakes litigation or complex business disputes
• Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and litigation tech tools
• Prior freelance or solo practice experience a plus

Pay rate commensurate with experience.

Location: Remote (Firm based in the Northeast)

Engagement Type: Freelance, Part-Time (Ad Hoc—Approximately 4–5 Projects Annually with Potential for Growth)

All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time. Infrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
