Job summary

Stealth Startup, a well-established business law firm in Towson, MD, seeks an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to advance its growing practice handling sophisticated commercial disputes for a diverse client base.

You will manage all phases of litigation, draft pleadings, take depositions, and provide strategic counsel to clients while mentoring junior associates. A strong MD license and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and MD license.
• 5+ years of business litigation experience at a law firm.
• Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently.

• Manage all phases of business litigation matters, from pre-suit through trial, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, and settlement negotiations.
• Represent clients in disputes involving contracts, partnerships, shareholder issues, business torts, and related commercial matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and arbitrations.
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic counsel on litigation risk and business objectives.
• Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy and staffing; mentor junior associates as needed.

• Portable book of business a plus but not required

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
