Job summary

Orion Placement is recruiting a mid-to-senior commercial litigation attorney for our Baltimore office. The role involves handling complex disputes, drafting motions, and taking depositions, with direct client interaction and tight collaboration with a veteran legal team.

Requirements include a JD, active MD/VA/DE/DC/PA bar, and at least 2 years of attorney experience in commercial litigation. Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week is provided.

• Law firm experience preferred; qualified in-house and solo practitioners encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle challenging commercial and business litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Draft compelling motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and participate in courtroom proceedings.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts.
• Partner with experienced attorneys to develop creative, effective litigation strategies.
• Work directly with business clients, financial institutions, and corporate stakeholders.
• Navigate complex disputes involving contracts, creditors' rights, financial services, and commercial transactions.

Note

Candidates must have 2+ years of attorney experience, including 1+ years of commercial or business litigation, a JD from an accredited law school, and active bar admission in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Washington, DC, or Pennsylvania. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and substantive litigation experience are essential.
