Ideal candidates have 3+ years in general insurance, with commercial lines or P&C underwriting experience, and the ability to operate in a hybrid setting with in-office days typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This opportunity is ideal for an insurance professional with experience evaluating commercial risks, reviewing insurance submissions, and working with agents and brokers.

Previous E&S or transportation underwriting experience is not required! Candidates with commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience are encouraged to apply, along with professionals who have gained underwriting-related experience within an MGA or wholesale insurance organization.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in the insurance industry, preferably within commercial lines or Property & Casualty insurance.
• Commercial underwriting experience involving risk evaluation, submission review, and insurance pricing.
• Familiarity with working directly with insurance agents and brokers.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage, underwriting guidelines, and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple submissions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Availability to work a hybrid schedule in Montvale, NJ, typically Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office.

Experience Guidelines

We encourage applications from candidates with:

• 3+ years of general insurance experience (preferred).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience within an MGA or wholesale insurance organization (may be considered).
• Commercial Lines or Property & Casualty underwriting experience.

Candidates with less than three years of total insurance experience may be considered based on the relevance of their MGA, wholesale, or underwriting background.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excess & Surplus (E&S) insurance
• Managing General Agency (MGA) or wholesale insurance
• Transportation or trucking insurance
• Commercial Auto underwriting

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities.
