United Talent Staffing in Montvale, NJ is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter for an exciting direct hire opportunity in E&S/Wholesale insurance. The role focuses on evaluating commercial risk submissions, pricing, and working with agents and brokers to support a profitable portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in general insurance, with commercial lines or P&C underwriting experience, and the ability to operate in a hybrid setting with in-office days typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Competenze

• 3+ years of general insurance experience.
• Commercial Lines or Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience working directly with insurance agents and brokers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Hybrid schedule in Montvale, NJ (in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Mansioni

• Review and evaluate insurance submissions and supporting documentation.
• Assess insurance risks, coverage needs, loss histories, and potential exposures.
• Assist with underwriting decisions in accordance with guidelines and authority.
• Review new business and renewal submissions for eligibility and pricing.
• Prepare and review quotes, policy terms, and coverage recommendations.
• Work with agents, brokers, and internal teams to gather information and process submissions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agency and broker partners.
• Identify risks requiring additional review or underwriting approval.
• Maintain underwriting documentation and account records.
• Support portfolio growth while delivering responsive service.
