Job summary

HTU in Minnesota is seeking an entry-level underwriting candidate to learn insurance coverages, contracts, and company procedures to support underwriting decisions. You will study policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements to understand their meaning and use.

You will analyze loss experience and risk factors, gaining a working knowledge of the underwriting process and supporting departments, while communicating effectively with independent agents and colleagues through verbal and written means.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task, and make decisions independently.
• Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Interest in developing product knowledge through participation in approved educational programs.

• Annualized starting base pay range: $57,000.00 - $80,800.00.
