Acrisure in California seeks a Placement Specialist – Commercial Lines for mid-to-large commercial accounts. You will manage timelines, analyze exposure, prepare quotes, and negotiate coverage terms. Collaborate with Client Advisors and markets to deliver tailored risk transfer solutions.

The role requires independent decision-making, strong negotiation skills, and experience with large deductible programs or captives. On-site presence is expected to support collaboration and client service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant insurance experience.
• Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Experience with broker/agent marketing large middle market accounts to carriers; knowledge of markets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the timeline and process during new business and renewal.
• Develop marketing strategies and evaluate market options based on risk.
• Evaluate alternative risk financing mechanisms and captive structures.
• Structure coverage towers for higher limits beyond standard policies.
• Communicate with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and markets.
• Prepare and review insurance submissions, including ACORDs and exposure schedules.
