Job summary

Alera Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Commercial Lines Support Leader to oversee a team of customer service agents and drive the administrative work that supports revenue growth and client retention. You will lead people, processes, and systems across commercial lines operations, coaching staff and implementing efficiency improvements while ensuring compliance and high‑quality service.

The role collaborates with agents, carriers and leadership, and offers hybrid work in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 3–5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commercial insurance experience required.
• Active state Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
• Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Strong knowledge of agency operations, client service processes, workflow management, and commercial insurance practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Applied Epic, agency management systems, and internet-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the people, processes, and systems that support commercial lines client service operations while promoting productivity, service quality, client retention, and team engagement
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through onboarding, training, performance management, goal setting, and ongoing professional development initiatives
• Drive process improvements, workflow enhancements, and operational best practices that improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery
• Oversee departmental systems, procedures, audits, Applied Epic administration, carrier website utilization, and service center relationships to ensure operational consistency and compliance
• Partner with agents, service teams, carriers, and leadership to support client retention, resolve service concerns, strengthen team performance, and achieve departmental goals
