Job summary

Element Risk Management is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Assistant to support Account Executives and Account Managers in handling new, renewal, and service requests for commercial lines business. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and able to maintain accurate records while delivering timely service in a fast-paced insurance environment.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, compliance with agency procedures, and collaboration across teams

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
• Must be licensed per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned.
• Respond to client and carrier inquiries regarding insurance, claims, or administrative matters.
• Coordinate expirations with Account Executive and/or Account Manager to obtain renewal or new business information.
• Assist in marketing new and renewal business, determine premiums, and prepare presentation packets.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and billing transactions.
• Ensure timely delivery of policies and related documents to clients.
• Maintain electronic records in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
• Ensure all service activities and communications are properly documented in the agency management system.
• Coordinate with Account Executive and/or Account Manager to compile renewal packets and client-specific documentation.
• Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, coverages, and signatures.
